Get ready for Spring with these spring glow up ideas! After the long dark winter, we all want to look and feel our best when the brighter season arrives.
Unfortunately, most of us end the winter months with dry dull skin, a few extra pounds courtesy of comfort food, and maybe even with a case of the winter blues. So how do we glow up for the new season? By hitting the refresh button and using my favorite glow up ideas below in a 30-day challenge!
Spring Glow Up Ideas
We’re going to work from the inside out by improving our health and mood. The new Spring look ideas further below will be the cherry on top!
Eat Real Food
It’s not just about what you eat; it’s also about what you don’t eat. Fake processed foods contain additives, sugar (and substitutes), and so-called vegetable oils that are bad for your health and your beauty.
Instead eat real foods that are high in antioxidants like berries, green tea, kale, broccoli, spinach, apples, oranges, nuts/seeds, avocado, etc.
Cook your meals from scratch and you will not only notice the difference in your body but also your bank account.
Red Light Therapy
Red light therapy is great for your skin because of its ability to penetrate deep into the dermis layer of your skin where toxins reside. Red light can help eliminate these toxins while giving us an overall glowy healthy appearance!
There are many different types of red light devices available such as LED lights, lamps, masks, etc., but we’ll stick with using a lamp since they’re more affordable than other options.
Use red light for 15-20 minutes per day on clean skin and you will have smoother, firmer, and radiant skin after 30 days. Goodbye, dullness!
Go out for a walk every day for 2 reasons:
- Most of us lead a sedentary lifestyle, so we need the exercise
- To enjoy nature’s rebirth in spring.
By the time June arrives you not only wonder where the time went, but you also realize you missed the blooming flowers, the chirping birds, increasing sunlight, and everything else Spring has to offer.
Resolve that this Spring you will take it all in and enjoy it to the fullest.
PS: it’s totally OK to take pretty pictures of yourself to glow up your social media account too!
Do Planks and Squats
Tone up that body with daily planks and squats. I aim for 50 squats a day and 1 plank hold for 1 minute. It really makes a difference in addition to the daily walks and firms up my butt and abs.
Add Collagen Powder and Coconut Oil To Your Coffee
Collagen is not just essential for our joints and bones, but our skin loves it too! It helps keep your skin young-looking and supple. If you don’t have collagen powder on hand, try adding some gelatin into your coffee instead.
Coconut oil is great for brain health and can help you lose weight. It is also good for your skin. Try drinking a cup of coffee (or tea!) with a teaspoon of coconut oil in it and increase it to 1 tablespoon gradually.
Start Something New
It could be a new course, a new business venture, or a workout routine. Learning something new will glow you up and give you confidence and positive vibes.
Spring clean your living space and get rid of the junk that’s causing stress and sucking away your energy. Go through your rooms one by one or just start with one cabinet and sort out all your items.
Make piles for donating, selling, or throwing out items that you no longer use (or maybe never used in the first place).
Old clothes that no longer fit can be donated and this will make space for a fabulous new summer wardrobe!
Whiten Your Teeth
Your eyes and smile are the first things people notice. Make sure they sparkle with health and vitality. You can help your teeth by using a whitening kit or by oil pulling daily with coconut oil.
Spring Makeup Ideas
After winter’s dark colors, it’s time for a lighter Spring look to glow up your face. A bronzer is a must for a fresh and natural look. Use it on your cheeks and your eyelids to make them pop. Add a few drops of liquid highlighter on top for an ethereal glow.
Finish with a soft pink or salmon lipgloss for a fresh look.
How To Do Spring Glow Up?
Dedicate a period in March or April to your Spring glow up. I personally do a Spring glow up in March and for the full month. It’s great for resetting and renewing yourself and feeling good in April and beyond.
